200g Thinsulate is often used in regular work boots. Its role is to regulate the boot’s internal temperature, a plus for comfort!
Its main function is to ensure optimum thermal comfort by limiting heat loss in autumn and preventing heat gain in summer, similar to the role of insulation such as polyurethane in a house.
It’s also important to note that this boot is easily suitable for use in 3 seasons (spring, summer, autumn). Easily worn for both indoor and outdoor work.

Exceptional work boot! I had purchased a pair of work shoes (low, steel toe) last summer and love the comfort, wide toe box, and quality of the boots. I have a wide toe base, a narrow ankle/heel, high arches, and bunions. I have been looking for an tall, side-zip, winter work boot for years, and when the met-guard boot was introduced, I went for it. So pleased! The sole/footbed is extremely comfortable, solid, great wide toe box, and not too wide at heel. I love the side zip, and the met-guard has saved me more than a few times already! These boots are warm! Not for wearing inside, unless you want sweaty feet. I wear them working in a sawmill, working in the woods, and in and out of equipment. Comfortable all day wear. Thank you!
